Basada en la obra de los guionistas de "Sexo en Nueva York" Greg Behrendt y Liz Tuccillo, la película "Qué les pasa a los hombres" nos cuenta la historia de un grupo de veinteañeros y de treintañeros de Baltimore y de cómo navegan por las aguas tranquilas de las primeras citas, hasta llegar a las aguas profundas y turbulentas de la vida de casados, al tiempo que intentan interpretar las señales enviadas por el sexo opuesto.... con la esperanza de ser las excepción a una regla que no admite excepciones.....

Benicio del Toro es Lawrence Talbot, un noble que vuelve a la casa familiar al desaparecer su hermano. Después de reencontrarse con su padre, del que se había distanciado, Talbot sale en busca de su hermano y descubre el horrendo destino que le espera. La infancia de Lawrence Talbot acabó la noche que falleció su madre. Después de dejar el adormecido pueblecito victoriano de Blackmoor, tardó años en recuperarse y en borrar ciertos recuerdos. La prometida de su hermano, Gwen Conliffe, le encuentra y le pide que busque a su desaparecido amor, y Talbot decide regresar a casa. Se entera de que alguien o algo brutalmente salvaje y con una insaciable sed de sangre ha matado a varios habitantes del pueblo y que un suspicaz inspector de Scotland Yard llamado Abberline ha venido a investigar los crímenes. Cuando Talbot empieza a reunir las piezas del sangriento rompecabezas, descubre que existe una antigua maldición que convierte a los hombres en lobos con la Luna llena.
